Hamilton City Council is the local body authority responsible for essential local services such water, rubbish collection. The council administers the Hamilton District plan and issues building consents. The council delivers rates notices to all fixed dwellings.
Hamilton Council is also involved in promoting economic development for the Hamilton Region. Through its Opportunity Hamilton initiative it provides small business support for start-ups, business growth, moving your business to Hamilton and other training and support.
