Hamilton Zoo

Hamilton Zoo is located in Dinsdale, Hamilton

The Hamilton Zoo houses over 600 species of animals, native and exotic. Birds, Reptiles, Mammals are the main animal types. The zoo also has all the zoo favourites like giraffes, elephants, meerkats and the all-important tigers!

For those who dare there are the Eye 2 Eye and Face 2 Face experiences where you can get up close and personal with the tigers, lemurs, chimpanzees or even tuataras. These do have an extra charge though. Another special feature of the zoo is that it has Australasia's largest aviary.
