The Hamilton Fringe Festival has changed. Instead of the traditional September event, it will now be held in March or April each year.

The Hamilton Fringe Festival is an exciting and intriguing celebration of local performing arts. The two week event is a collection of performances in all styles of artistic expression. A large proportion of the events are theatre and comedy based, alonsgside music and dance.

Also on offer is a whole mix of other discplines including Burlesque, Film and spoken word. Comedy plays a big role with at least 8 events. Most performances are ticketed, and these can be purchased online, or at the venue.

Red Hot Rockabilly Tease O'Rama

Fringe is a family festival so be sure to bring down the little ones for an immersive cultural experience. There are many family events including Childrens Theatre, Puppet Theatre, and even Magic which will delight kids of all ages.

As well as all the interesting live performances, there are Visual Arts installations to experience. Most of the installations are free to view. They are dotted around the Hamilton CBD, so check out the Visual Arts page on the 2013 Hamilton Fringe Festival website to see opening times.
