For the history enthusiast Pirongia Clydesdales boasts a fine selection of antique horse drawn and farm memorabilia, and a range of old and new carriages. You'll also find a working forge whereby farrier demonstrations can take place by arrangement.
You'll enjoy meeting the gentile Clydesdale horses and other friendly farm animals. The wagon ride trips offer a peaceful and relaxing horse drawn experience complete with village tour and meal back at our on-site country cafe. The tour takes in some of Pirongia's most picturesque scenery and passes through some of the most historically significant spots of the area. Along the way driver, Nick, will point out the places of interest and enlighten you with some of the area's history. Wagon tour lengths vary from 20mins - 45mins long and can be tailored to suit your time frame.
The tours can include stops at some of the area's most prestigous gardens, the Alexandra Redoubt, the Arts & Craft shop, the Pirongia Information Centre and other local attractions.
