Waikato Home and Garden Show

Location: Claudelands Events Centre

Dates: Thur 6 - Sun 9th October 2016

The Waikato Home and Garden Show is the region's premier Home Show event. Each year over 30,000 visitors from around Waikato and South Auckland pass through the gates. Operating for over 30 years, the annual event is still going strong with increased visitor numbers over last year. The show is a key date on the calendar for housing, renovation, gardening and associated companies to showcase their wares for the upcoming Summer season.

Over 400 exhibitors grace Claudelands Events Centre for the 4 day event. Everything you could need for the home, and lots of things you'll want. Whether it's renovation, interior decorating or landscaping expect to find products and services you need. There's always a few surprises as exhibitors often import exclusive new products especially for the event.

But the show isn't just for trade. There is a strong food element with live demonstrations in the Cooking Theatre. Learn tips and tricks from the best chefs from around New Zealand. The Resene Designer Seminar series is a popular drawcard with experts giving advice. Each year there are also interior design seminars. All seminars are free to attend so when you need to rest your feet, drop in and have a listen.

It can be thirsty work looking at all the exhibits, so both indoor and outdoor hospitality are provided in the many zones around the complex. From coffee and cafe-style fare, to a beer in the sun, you won't be disappointed when it comes time to refuel. A glass of vino is well deserved after a few hours browsing :) Live entertainment is part of the package with performances throughout the event.

It's a great day out whether you are planning to improve your home, or are just looking for future ideas. The show only comes round once a year so make sure you don't miss the Waikato Home and Garden Show 2015.
